I was born here in Linden and grew up in the area. I completed my Degree at the University of Pretoria. After my community service year in Potchefstroom I returned to my home city. I started my formal career working at a special needs school in the mornings and in private practice in the afternoons. In 2012 I started my own practice. I am married to a wonderful husband and we have three amazing little ones that keep us quite occupied.

I furthered my studies which includes Ayres Sensory integration, Therapeutic Listening, Tomatis Listening Therapy, as well as Interactive Metronome. I am currently busy with another post graduate qualification, namely DIR Floortime.

Qualifications: BSc. Occupational Therapy (UCT)

I am an occupational therapist, and I am passionate about working with people and helping them reach their full potential through fun, exciting activities.

I grew up on a farm in the Eastern Cape and am the oldest of two daughters in a very close knit family. I always been passionate about working with people so after finishing school in 2010 I moved down to Cape Town to study Occupational Therapy at UCT and I completed my degree in 2014. I then moved back to the Eastern Cape in 2015 to do my community service year in Aliwal North. During this time I was exposed to a lot of paediatric OT and I completed the Infant Sensory Integration Training.  In 2016 I moved to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where I taught English at a Kindergarten. I was privileged to learn about new cultures, travel Asia and experience self-growth during my year abroad.

I then moved to Johannesburg and was given the opportunity to join the Therapeace team and I couldn't be more excited!

Qualifications: B.OccTher (UP), Interactive Metronome, First Aid Level 1.

I love children, fantasy play, traveling, good food and my little mutt named Kerneels . I was born and bred in Pretoria. After school I started studying Graphic Design at the University of Potchefstroom, but within months realised that my passion and purpose lies in the field of Occupational Therapy, which I then studied at the University of Pretoria.

I did my community service year at the Mother and Child Hospital in Newcastle, Kwazulu-Natal. It was one of the best years of my life and I can summarise it as a year of new adventures, new friends and living with a purpose! After community service I moved to Johannesburg and currently live in Linden, very close to my mothers’s old primary school. I have completed courses in Infant Sensory Integration, Basic Neurodevelopmental Assessment and Treatment; and Paediatric Development.

I am the eldest of two daughters and we are a close family.  My parents have always been a stable support in my life and we enjoy spending family time together.  I grew up in Johannesburg and went to school in the Linden area. I love living in Johannesburg and 11 years later my school friends are still my best friends.   After high school I did a year course at a church that was aimed at knowing yourself and who you were made to be.  During this year I discovered my interest in Occupational Therapy.  I studied Occupational Therapy at the University of Pretoria.  I have always had an interest in paediatrics and as soon as I had finished my community service year in Port Elizabeth, I applied to a paediatric post in my home town.  I have been working in this practice for four years now and during this time I have furthered my studies in Ayers Sensory Integration, which I am in the process of completing. I am an Advanced DIR Floortime Provider, Interactive Metronome Provider and Tomatis Level 1 Practitioner.

During my season in Bloemfontein I also completed additional training in play therapy level one and two through Dr. Rinda Blom. During the first six months of my internship I worked at the NMMU Student Counselling, Career and Development Centre where-after I worked at Cape Recife School as part of a multi-disciplinary team. After completing my studies, I joined the Assessment and Therapy Centre in Ballito. I moved to Johannesburg to pursue not only my career but my dream. I was born and raised in a small town, and dreamt of the “big” city, so moved to Pretoria when I was fresh out of high school. There I worked in a pharmacy as a pharmacist assistant and later a dispensary manager for almost 10 years. In 2009 I packed my bags and I went to London, UK. Lived there for 2 years and loved every moment of it. I came back to SA, lived in the beautiful Cape Town for a while, but decided to move to Jo’burg. I love living here. For me, this city is the heartbeat of SA!
